MATCH REVIEW AND STATISTICS

For many people in the world, kickball is not a familiar sport. Domestically (Liberia), kickball is a sport played by females. Kickball has been included in the sports program for high schools in the country. The governing body for kickball Liberia Kickball Federation (LKF). There has not been many implementation plans topromote the sport internationally. As a matter of fact, the game itself lives because of the passion of players and not really depending on the level of resources or attention that has been given in support of the sport. In the Paynesville area ( a suburb ) of Monrovia, Kickball has been seen as "impressive" compared to other areas around the country. For the last four years, schools such as J.C.N. Goodrigde High Schools, Carver Mission Institute, and many other schools from the Paynesville area has dominated the inter-high school kickball tournaments. The reason for this can be directed to the great passion that citizens of Paynesville have towards the sport.

On December 5, 2008, the "Electrons Sports Arena" witnessed a breath-taking match between two of this year's championship contenders : Faith Trinity High School versus the J.C.N. Goodgridge High School. Faith Trinity High School is usually uniformed in their green and black stripes while her counterpart was dressed in blue and white jersey. Both teams ended their rounds of three with Faith Trinity emerging as the winners with 7 homeruns to 5 homeruns. Seconds before the referee sounded his whistle for end game, the students of J.C. N. Goodridge watched and cheered their teams with so much passion eventhough they knew they were eventually ending as losers of the match. It is just so intriguing to see how kickball fans never stop cheering for their team. Sometimes the atmosphere of losses get to tense, fans of both teams engage in verbal battles or fist fights. But this is just a reflection of how people value their favourite sport (next to football).
